Updates

My amazing sister Shawna just gave me these pictures that she took and edited today. They're awesome - she's awesome - if you don't know her, you are missing out. All my 3 sisters are incredibly talented, somehow it all got poured into them and skipped me over so I am very lucky to be surrounded by very artistic, creative, strong women.

Life seems to be shooting around me at light speed these days. It is absolute truth that the transition from 2 to 3 children is a lot harder than 1 to 2 children. But we are very blessed and have come out relatively unscathed at the 2 and half month mark - a lot more crying, constant mess, no lost children, no major injuries - I call that success.

So for all those who ask how are we doing here is an update of our little family

Andrew:
- just got released from the stake high council to be called as 1st counselor in our stake's new YSA ward - now he thinks he's 22 again and loves it so don't feel too sorry for him
-just barely surviving his late night MBA classes- for a brief month he had class only 1 night a week, but now he is up to 3 nights a week- but doing really well at it and is loving what he is learning
-tries to fit in as much biking, golfing, and swimming as possible in the cracks of his schedule
-searching for a new job as his MTC position ends Wednesday, but in the interim was offered a part-time consulting type position until the end of the year at the MTC
-dreams of his motorcycle and spends hours on KSL scouting out the perfect bike

Ethan:
-spends hours upon hours building with his legos- especially his Star Wars lego sets
-beginning to read and understand numbers....numbers are still a little fuzzy- he often says "I want to play for 1000 , 2, 2, 4, 68, 79, 52, 7, 8, 8, 8 more minutes, that's a lot right?"
-loves playing on the computer
-has morphed into an incredibly helpful, caring, sweet, compassionate biggest brother
-can't get enough of playing outside with his friends and jumping into the "deep pool"

Hudson:
-loves loves loves Toy Story and can't stop talking about Toy Story 3 and especially Woody
-tries to copy Ethan in everything he does
-talks and communicates SO well
-spends almost as much time as Ethan playing with legos
-loves reading stories
-such a sweet big brother to Westen and wants to hold him all the time
-also trying to understand numbers, but for some reason always mixes up 2 and 3

Westen:
-smiles all the time- he is so happy that it reminds me to be happy
-sleeps about 5 hours at a time at night- hallelujah!!!
-still seems tiny, but growing like crazy
-reminds me how much I love this new baby stage
-pretty patient when I can't get to him right away and really only cries when hungry
-already loves his brothers- Hudson and Ethan always get the best smiles from him
-he's a very observant baby- when he looks at something he really studies it

Candace:
-feels pretty dang blessed to be the mom and wife of these boys
-loves quiet time (bedtime)
-getting more proficient at the mommy career after reading some great parenting books
-a little nervous about perhaps going back to work
-still dreams about interior design, learning 5 new languages, traveling the world, going to bed before midnight, being creative and crafty, and being supermom
